Accessibility Statement

What we aim for

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. It has not yet been independently audited against that standard, so we describe it as our target rather than a certification.

What is in place

The site was built with the following, and each is checked as pages change:

• Semantic HTML with a single, ordered heading structure on every page, so screen readers and assistive technology can navigate it.
• A “skip to content” link as the first item on every page.
• Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus outline on every link, button and form field.
• Text alternatives on images that carry meaning. Images that are purely decorative are marked as such so they are skipped rather than announced.
• Colour contrast checked against the AA thresholds for body text, labels and interface elements.
• Motion that respects your system setting: if you have asked your device to reduce motion, animations and the automatic image sequence are switched off.
• No audio anywhere on the site, and nothing that flashes.
• Layouts that reflow to any screen width without horizontal scrolling, and that survive text being enlarged.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you where the site falls short than claim it is perfect.

• The film on the home page starts playing on its own. It is silent, decorative, and hidden from screen readers, and it does not play if you have asked your device to reduce motion — but there is no visible pause button.
• The image sequence on the home page advances on its own. It stops when you hover over it or move keyboard focus into it, and it does not run at all under reduced motion, but it has no dedicated pause control.
• Some photographs are presented without a text description because they are decorative rather than informative. Where a picture carries information, it is described.
• The site has not been tested with every combination of screen reader and browser.
